How much does full mouth rehabilitation cost?+
The fee varies more than for any other treatment, since it turns on the number of teeth and whether implants are part of the plan. Guide fees for the individual items, such as crowns from £1,250 and implants from £1,500, give a sense of scale. You receive an exact written figure after assessment, and finance is available for treatment up to £30,000, subject to status.
How long does it take?+
Most rehabilitations run over several months, and those involving implants can take closer to a year because of healing time. The visits are spaced out and planned in advance, so you know the shape of the whole programme from the start.
Is it painful?+
Each stage is carried out under local anaesthetic, and sedation with our dental sedationist is available for longer sessions. Some tenderness after the bigger appointments is normal and usually settles within days. A new bite can feel unfamiliar for a week or two before it becomes your own.
Will I be without teeth at any point?+
No. Provisional crowns, bridges or dentures are printed or milled on site so you have a full set of teeth throughout. They also let you test the new bite and the look of the teeth before the final work is made, and we adjust the design if anything needs changing.
Can the treatment be spread out?+
Yes. The plan is written in phases, and foundations such as gum treatment and implants can be done first with the visible work following when it suits you. Spreading the stages also spreads the cost, and finance is available subject to status.
Will I have to see several different dentists?+
You may, since implants, root canal work and the restorative dentistry are each done by the clinician who leads that area. You will not have to manage it: one lead clinician coordinates the plan, and our treatment coordinators hold the diary and the paperwork.
Why have this done in Holborn?+
Sardinia House has been treating patients for 45 years, and planning complex cases with more than one clinician is how we work. The scanners, CBCT, 3D printers and CEREC mill are all on one floor on Lincoln's Inn Fields, so the planning and the making happen in the same place.
