How much do anti-wrinkle injections cost in London?+
At Sardinia House in Holborn, anti-wrinkle injections are from £250 for one area, £275 for two areas and £300 for three. These are guide fees; the exact figure is written into your quote after the consultation, and the consultation itself is free.
Do I need a face-to-face consultation first?+
Yes. Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only medicines, so they are provided only after a face-to-face consultation with our prescribing clinician. Nothing is prescribed remotely and nothing is sold off the shelf. Treatment follows at a separate appointment.
Do anti-wrinkle injections hurt?+
Most people feel a brief sting at each injection point and nothing more. The needle is very fine, the appointment takes 30 minutes and there is no need for numbing. Any tenderness afterwards usually settles within a day.
How long do the results last?+
Three to four months is typical, after which movement returns gradually. Results take 10 to 14 days to settle fully, so we review you at around two weeks. Over time some people find the interval between treatments lengthens.
Which areas can be treated?+
We treat frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, bunny lines, a gummy smile, lip lines and neck bands, as well as jaw clenching and a square jaw through the masseter muscle. At the consultation we advise which areas will give you the result you are after.
Will I look frozen?+
Not if it is done carefully. We use conservative amounts, placed according to how your own face moves, so expression is kept and lines are softened rather than erased. The review at two weeks lets us refine the result if needed.
Do you also offer dermal fillers or lip fillers?+
No. We do not currently offer dermal fillers or lip fillers. For skin quality without added volume we offer Profhilo, and for lines of expression we offer anti-wrinkle injections.
How soon do anti-wrinkle injections work, and how often will I need them?+
The muscles begin to soften after three to five days and the full effect shows at around two weeks, which is when we review you. Results last three to four months for most people, so treatment is usually repeated three or four times a year. We will not treat more often than is sensible for the muscles.
Can I have anti-wrinkle injections while pregnant or breastfeeding?+
No. Anti-wrinkle injections are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, because they have not been tested in these groups. We ask about pregnancy at every consultation and will welcome you back once you have finished feeding.
