Dr Jonathan Davies

Jon qualified from Cardiff and has been in private practice for more than twenty-five years, in Jersey, the Cayman Islands and central London. He is a dental implant surgeon who practises across London and Surrey, and has looked after patients at Sardinia House for many years.

His implant work runs from a single missing tooth to full-arch restoration, including All-on-4 and All-on-6, and the bone grafting that difficult cases need: simple augmentation, sinus lifts and block grafts. Every case is planned on a CBCT scan and an intra-oral scan with surgical planning software, so the position decided on screen is the position in the mouth, and the aesthetics are designed in from the start rather than fitted around the surgery.

Away from implants, his instinct is to take away as little tooth as possible and to treat the cause as well as the damage, which is why tooth grinding and the wear it leaves behind are a particular interest. He is often the first dentist a new patient meets here, and he has looked after LSE staff and students for much of his time at the practice.
