Such a lovely practice! I went to see Dr. Neha Patel, and she was incredibly accommodating and put me completely at ease. Like most people I don't usually like a trip to the dentist, but since coming here I can safely say that I don't ever have that dreaded feeling and (almost) look forward to coming in. I cannot recommend the practice enough for anyone in the area!

What are Lingual or Hidden Braces?

Lingual braces are a variation of wire braces. They use custom brackets and arcs attached to the inner side of the teeth, located on the tongue and palate. It is more of a cosmetic alternative, as their function is very similar to regular braces, but allow you to straighten your teeth without them showing.

How Can We Help?

How Do Lingual Braces Work?

When you come in for a consultation, our dentist will analyse your bite and the alignment of your teeth. We will then take an impression of your teeth and create customised brackets so that they will fit in your mouth exactly. The process will take some time, so you will likely have to come back for another session so that we can apply the brackets.

Once we have your custom brackets, we cement them onto the teeth and install the arch wires. Like traditional braces, they gently apply continuous pressure to shift teeth to their desired position. You will need to come back every few weeks so that we can adjust the braces as needed until your teeth are properly aligned.

Benefits of Lingual Braces

The primary benefit of lingual braces is that they can straighten your teeth and correct your bite in the same manner as regular braces, but in a much more discreet manner. They are hidden behind your teeth, so when you smile or talk, they are much less noticeable.

Cost of Lingual Braces

The cost of lingual braces in London varies depending on the extent of straightening required, and how long you will need to wear them. Prices start £8500.
